It is time to put our first food drive in the books!  Warminster Rotary Club in partnership with Archbishop Wood and Philabundance toughed out a rough one tonight.

It was very wet as it poured down rain at Alumni Stadium for a matchup between the defending state champion Archbishop Wood football team and rival North Penn.  Despite the weather, fans from both teams showed up and many brought their canned goods to donate to those in need within our community.  Due to the timing with the first week of school, many people were not aware of the food drive but the students were able to go in the stands and request modest financial contributions.  By the end of the game, we collected 119 canned good items PLUS another $150!

In addition to all the students who braved the weather and helped collect donations, I also want to thank Dan Finello, Mark McKee, Erica McKee, Leo Quinn and Claudia Quinn for their assistance.

Now that we have worked out the kinks, I am sure we are well on our way to a successful food drive culminating with our annual Charity Ball on November 10th at Spring Mill Manor.  Check out the events section of our website for more information about upcoming food drive details as well as the Charity Ball!
