The Warminster Rotary Club has been serving its community for 50 years and we celebrated this milestone at our Charter Night dinner on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the Spring Mill Country Club.  It was a fun evening of food, music and fellowship!  Charter Night is traditionally a night to recognize the accomplishments of the club over the past year and acknowledge those members of the club who have contributed greatly to its success.
A number of members and the Executive Board received Certificates of Appreciation for their tireless efforts on behalf of the club.  Additionally, three members received Paul Harris Fellowship Awards.   The Paul Harris Fellowship is named for Paul Harris, who founded Rotary with three business associates in Chicago in 1905.   The fellowship was established in his honor in 1957 to express appreciation for outstanding contributions.   This year, Chris Roehl, past president, received this honor for his work during his Presidency in the 2010/2011 year.   Greg Hucklebridge also received the honor for all of his contributions to the club including the initiation and maintenance of our new and vastly improved website.   The final Paul Harris Fellowship award of the evening went to Bob Goldsworthy who devoted 40+ years to active community service through Warminster Rotary.   Bob leaves a legacy of good works and projects behind as he moves to Honorary Membership this year.   It was truly a wonderful evening!
